MCP tools

The hosted MCP server (https://api.agents.computeengines.com/mcp) and the local cec mcp server expose the same tools. The hosted server lists only the tools your key's scopes allow and hides computer creation for a key restricted to specific computers; the local server lists every tool and enforces scopes when a tool is called. Read-only, destructive and idempotent flags are hints that describe behavior; they do not authorize an action. See the MCP server page for configuration.

Create tools return the idempotency key they used; keep it and reuse it after a lost response instead of creating another computer. Tool errors keep the problem object. Desktop coordinates are display pixels. read_file is limited to 1,000,000 bytes and write_file to 700,000 bytes.
