Dory is in development. The invite-only beta has not opened yet; prices and limits are planned and may change.

Planned prices

By the second.
Capped by the month.

Prices are planned and may change before the beta opens. They are for Bitcoin credit; there is no card price.

Account tiers unlock sizes and limits: new accounts start at Tier 0, which can top up but cannot create computers; see how to reach Tier 1 and Tier 2.

Each computer's charges for compute and for its own disk and saved memory stop at its monthly cap (UTC calendar month).

You can resize CPU and RAM while stopped, but your disk capacity stays the same. Your monthly cap follows the largest size you held that UTC calendar month. A higher cap starts when your resize finishes; we do not charge again for earlier time or reset your month's usage.

Billing model

Prepaid credit.
Per-second usage.

You top up USD credit with on-chain Bitcoin and computers are billed from it by the second.

On-demand

Billed per second while the computer is running, including boot time (about $0.001 per ac-2 start, estimate). While stopped or paused, its disk and saved memory are stored at $0.05 per GB-month of stored size, inside the cap. By default an on-demand computer pauses 1 hour after it starts; from Tier 1 you can choose a longer timer or none.

Always-on

The cap spread over 730 billable hours (about $0.0185 an hour for ac-2), charged in every state except deleted, never above the cap in a UTC calendar month, and not at all while your balance is at zero. Capacity is held for you and the computer starts again after a restart.

Outside the cap

Snapshot and private-image storage over 10 GB per account: $0.05 per GB-month. Outbound traffic over 100 GB per account per month: $0.02 per GB. Inbound traffic and public images are never billed.

Top-ups

On-chain Bitcoin, $20 minimum; at most $250 per top-up in your account's first 30 days, then $1,000; credit plus unpaid invoices at most $2,000; one open invoice per account. Checkout runs on our Bitcoin checkout. No card or PayPal at launch. No trial or free credit: you pay before you use.

Spend controls

Set a monthly spend limit that pauses computers or only notifies you, and a maximum running cost per hour on each API key. Warnings arrive at about 72 and 24 hours of credit remaining.

Refunds, planned

Refunds of unused credit are planned; terms will be published before the beta. Promo credit is not refundable.

Examples: an ac-2 running 8 hours a day for 22 days costs about $5.07, well under its $13.50 cap. An ac-4 left running all month stops accruing at its $26.10 cap after about 453 billable hours. The quickstart costs less than one cent.
