Create an account and make your first top-up
You create an account in the web console, enroll a second factor, and keep the account password and API keys separate. There is no trial: you pay before you create a computer. Bitcoin on-chain is the payment method at launch. Checkout is hosted on our Bitcoin checkout. A checkout page or a successful browser redirect is not proof of credited funds.
Enrollment and recovery
The initial enrollment session lasts at most two hours and is limited to enrolling your first factor, acknowledging that there is no account recovery, or signing out. A full console session requires your password and an existing authenticator (TOTP) or a passkey with user verification. Enroll a second factor before you can lose the first: email password reset, recovery codes, email changes and a support bypass are not provided at launch. You can enroll one TOTP factor and up to ten passkeys; the last factor cannot be removed.
Full console sessions have a 30-minute idle limit and a 12-hour absolute limit. Sensitive actions require a recent five-minute re-check of your second factor. Signing out ends that console session, not an independently issued API key. Changing the password or replacing a factor revokes your other console sessions and your API keys' authority as described in Authentication.
First payment
Create one invoice, pay the exact quoted amount and keep its top-up ID. Check the top-up's status and your account balance rather than inferring success from a wallet display. Pending, partial, expired, held and credited outcomes are different states. A new account starts at Tier 0, a limited state that can pay for credit but cannot create computers; a credited payment and email verification take you to Tier 1. Pay with Bitcoin explains the safe retry path, and Trust tiers and limits lists what each tier allows.
