Pay with Bitcoin
A person pays the invoice. Checkout runs on our Bitcoin checkout; you leave the console for it. CE never needs a wallet seed or private key.
Create one invoice
Request a top-up in the console or with cec topup. Use whole cents. On-chain or any-method invoices start at $20; The per-invoice maximum is $250 during the account's first 30 days and $1,000 afterward. Nonnegative posted funds plus outstanding invoice reservations cannot exceed $2,000.
Only one new/processing invoice is open at a time; a second request returns the existing open invoice. Keep its top-up ID, checkout URL and actual expires_at. Your country is required before an invoice can be made.
Settlement and exceptions
On-chain expiry is 60 minutes, with at least one required confirmation and at least two above $250. The configured per-invoice threshold is authoritative. Method any uses the actual provider expiry.
| Status | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| new | Unpaid invoice; do not create a competing invoice |
| processing | Payment observed but awaiting required settlement/confirmation |
| credited | Approved funds posted with no unresolved payment case |
| review | Partial, late, invalid, marked or excess funds need a recorded decision; credit may already have posted |
| expired / invalid | Unpaid final outcome, or an explicitly resolved no-credit/refunded outcome |
Late or partial payment is not automatically lost or automatically credited. Overpayment is a separate liability until explicitly refunded or converted within headroom. Do not send another payment to clear a review flag without checking the original invoice. Stale webhooks never override a verified current invoice read. Net funds come from the ledger; original credited fields remain historical if a later reversal occurs.
Receipts and available funds
Credited top-ups have receipt records. Stored decimal evidence may use scientific notation; E means a power of ten. A render or delivery exception stays unresolved and does not prove rejected funds, a refund or mail delivery. The receipt does not replace the ledger's balance or pending liabilities.
